Dit landelijke kunukuhuis is in 1927 door de mais-

planter Domenico Figaroa gebouwd. Zoals gebruike-

This old style country cottage was built in 1927 by the
farmer Domenico Figaroa. As was the custom in those
days, this dwelling was also built in phases. First the
southern gallery and kitchen were built. Later, after
having saved some more money, one continued with
the construction of the living room and bedroom. The
house was blessed by the Priest. Originally white
beach sand was poured on the bare floor and once a
year it was replaced by fresh sand. There were eight
